WELL-HEELED: MULTI-FACETED PACKAGED WITH THE FUROSHIKI TECHNIQUE
In Japan, gifts are traditionally wrapped in pretty towels. With the selection of the material, the pattern and the special folding technique, every gift receives a personal note - without any paper!
However, this type of packaging is not new, after all, Furoshiki has been part of Japanese culture since the 17th century, but it is still in use today. In this way, even bulky gifts can be beautifully wrapped and with the diverse instructions on the Internet you will also become a Furoshiki professional very quickly.
You can use different cloths for wrapping, this mainly depends on the size of the gift. Napkins and kitchen towels are just as suitable as scarves and tablecloths.
Tip: It becomes even more personal if you have the scarf embroidered with a message or the name of the recipient.
HERE YOU WILL FIND SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS TO REALLY GET INTO THE FOLDING FEVER:
- Place the gift so that the lengths point towards the tips of the scarf. Now first tie two opposite corners together with a simple knot over the gift and pull them tight.
- Then take the other two ends and knot them together above the first knot.

NO WRAPPING PAPER? NO PROBLEM!
Not only plain wrapping paper can be individually decorated with a pretty cord, stickers and stamps. If you don't have any wrapping paper on hand, you can simply recycle newsprint and wrap the gift in it. Be sure to take a look at the newspaper beforehand, you might even discover an article or an exciting headline that fits the recipient and that you can have pointed up while you are packing.
PRESENTS IN A GLASS: SUSTAINABLE AND TASTY
Admittedly, the gift in a transparent glass may no longer be a big surprise. But there are two gifts in one! With a homemade baking mix, there is not only delicious biscuits, but also a practical mason jar that can later be used in the kitchen or bathroom for storage or as a cool vase.
It is best to use a simple recipe for filling , in which the ingredients are mixed together. These can be, for example, delicious muffin, cookie or cake recipes. Also a great last-minute present!
WHAT YOU NEED FOR DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES WITH OATMEAL:
